چکیده

This study investigates the response of pre-stressed anchored excavation walls under dynamic and pseudo-static loadings. A finite difference numerical model was developed using FLAC2D, results were successfully validated against full-scale experimental data. Analyses performed on 10, 20-m-height stabilized excavated slopes with 60° to 90° inclination angle horizon represent an applicable variety wall geometries. In analysis, statically models subjected 0.2 0.6g peak acceleration evaluate effect ground their performance. Furthermore, analyses coefficients ranging from 0.06 0.22. The revealed that generally showed acceptable performances loading, while higher axial forces induced anchors in steeper models. comparing a good agreement between two methods' predictions mobilized force along anchors. Pseudo-static then proposed replicate results, considering slope geometry load acceleration. required values match successfully. indicate coefficient tend increase any given model. Crack Influences on the Static and Dynamic Characteristic of a Micro-Beam Subjected to Electro Statically Loading

In the present work the pull-in voltage of a micro cracked cantilever beam subjected to nonlinear electrostatic pressure was studied. Two mathematical models were employed for modeling the problem: a lumped mass model and a classical beam model. The effect of crack in the lumped mass model is the reduction of the effective stiffness of the beam and in the beam model; the crack is modeled as a m...

Performance of Bridge Timber Ties under Static and Dynamic Loading

A dramatic increase in railway car axle loads has occurred over the past 50 years. This paper presents the results of an experimental program undertaken at the University of Manitoba to evaluate the structural performance and durability of treated timber bridge ties under different load levels. A portion of a prototype bridge deck, consisting of eight prototype timber ties, was tested under var...

Study on Seismic Performance of Reinforced Soil Walls to Modify the Pseudo Static Method

This study, tries to suggest a design method based on displacement using finite difference numerical modeling in reinforcing soil retaining wall with steel strip. In this case, dynamic loading characteristics such as duration, frequency, peak ground acceleration, geometrical characteristics of reinforced soil structure and type of the site are considered to correct the pseudo static method and ...

Energy Absorption Analysis and Multi-objective Optimization of Tri-layer Cups Subjected to Quasi-static Axial Compressive Loading

In this paper, the energy absorption features of tri-layer explosive-welded deep-drawn cups subjected to quasi-static axial compressive loading are investigated numerically and experimentally. To produce the cups, tri-layer blanks composed of aluminum and stainless steel alloys were fabricated by an explosive-welding process and formed by a deep drawing setup. The quasi-static tests were carrie...
